The exhibition was initiated to commemorate the United Nations declaration of ‘International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development 2021’, and show the world how Korea imagines the future in this age of post-COVID by exhibiting immersive media art based on iconic Hallyu (the Korean Wave) content.

Director Bong Joon-ho’s film <Parasite> is a black comedy thriller between the upper and lower class families and presents a strong, powerful social metaphor, and it is the first Korean film to win the Palme d’Or at the 72nd Cannes Film Festival, and four awards at the 92nd American Academy Awards.

EVR Studio’s <Parasite VR>, directed by Bryan Ku, goes beyond time and space and unravels hidden spaces and metaphors of the movie in a surreal visual language without compromising the originality and meanings held within the Oscar winning <Parasite>.
